Do heat pumps work through a Melbourne winter?
Yes. Modern units are rated well below zero and keep producing hot water on frosty mornings. Sizing and placement matter more than the season.
Can this replace my gas hot water?
Yes, it's the most common swap we do. We remove the gas unit, cap the gas line and run the new circuit. If it's your last gas appliance, we'll explain disconnecting the supply.
Will it run off my solar?
That's the point. We set the heating window to the middle of the day so the tank heats on your own power, topping up from the grid only when needed.
Are they noisy?
About the same as a quiet air conditioner outdoor unit. We position it away from bedrooms and boundaries.
